Retail Done Right

Podcast

We’ve entered a new era of retail - the era of the Customer Channel - where Shoppers rule.  This requires retailers to be empathetic and supportive of their customers, in every way.

Co-hosted by Jeff Fisher & Cristene Gonzalez-Wertz, RETAIL DONE RIGHT is a podcast series that explores these changes, to identify them, share insights and speak with a variety of people in the trenches, to better understand the changing nature of retail.

Like many in the industry, I began my retail journey by working the sales floor. Several hundred thousand “may I help you’s” later, I have risen through store operations into visual merchandising and store design corporate positions.

My passion is the world of retail. Not because I like to shop (which I do).  But because I have a gift for telling stories with space.  A brand story. A product story. A customer story.

My philosophy begins and ends with the customer experience.
Everything the customer sees, encounters and interacts with speaks to the experience through either harmony or dissonance.  Sometimes both.

Less is more. Yet the design must feel full.
Fullness is achieved by tapping into both the intellect and emotions. Offering a compelling story. Which is why good design is friendly, familiar and easy to use.  This is where the telling begins. Speaking without words in a language we all intuitively understand. Engaging the mind and fueling a passion for the experience.
